Hello Music Educators,
You are receiving this email because you are (or once were) a member of the South East or Wicklow/Kildare branches of the Post-Primary Music Teachers’ Association (PPMTA).
There will be a combined meeting of the South East and Wicklow/Kildare branches of the PPMTA on Tuesday evening 24th November from 7-9pm through the platform of Zoom. Please note you will be able to join the event from 6:50pm. You are welcome to attend, however you must register for the event here… Numbers are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment!
The branch meeting will include a workshop on ukulele called “Uke Can Do It Too!” facilitated by Dan Dunne. “Uke Can Do It Too!” will explore the versatile use of the Ukulele as a teaching tool in our classrooms. From kick starters for your beginners to solo and ensemble pieces for performances. This workshop includes exciting and engaging repertoire to challenge every level of ukulele player. This is an interactive workshop so please have your Ukulele at the ready to play along at home. The workshop will be followed by a discussion on the JC Sample paper. Please have your own copy of the sample paper on hand and we will discuss the paper sequentially, question by question.
Please note, this meeting will include an election for a Branch Representative of the Wicklow/Kildare branch of the PPMTA, which is open to all members of the branch. David Moriarty is putting his name forward for re-election, but any member is eligible to run for election. If a member would like to run for Branch Representative of Wicklow/Kildare, please send your nomination to PPMTA Chairperson, Áine Balfe at email@example.com
Looking forward to seeing you at the online workshop!
