| Dear Music Teacher, We are delighted to announce that our Arts in Junior Cycle Music initiative – ‘Me and My Music’ – is continuing this Autumn 2019 for second-year music students and their teachers. This initiative is supported by the Creative Ireland Programme, Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT), the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and Sing Ireland. ‘Me and My Music’ will provide music teachers, visiting musicians and second-year students with opportunities to meaningfully engage with learning outcomes from the junior cycle music specification. Together, they will become equal partners collaborating on the creation of a music artefact. This collaboration will encourage creativity based on the expertise of all involved and focused on the student’s talents and needs.
