We are delighted to announce details of our next Music workshop, hosted by INBAF, the

Irish National Braille and Alternative Formats Association.

The session has been designed to give an overview of key components of the Braille music code, for both Primary and Second Level students. The morning session will introduce the basic concepts of Braille and Music Braille.

The afternoon session will have an emphasis on preparation for state examinations.

What’s covered?

• Introduction to Music through Braille, notes, note values, rests, time and key signatures and more

• Fun and interactive exercises for everyone to reinforce learning

• Discussion of and proposed solutions for questions from previous Music examination papers with an emphases on Junior Certificate

Who should attend?

The workshop is aimed at students in Primary and Secondary Level, especially those undertaking Music as a subject for Junior or Leaving Certificate, their parents, teachers and other support workers.
