I hope that you are all keeping well following a busy academic year of exams, practicals, musicals and school events. I am writing to you to inform you that our Annual PPMTA Conference will take place in Whites of Wexford, Wexford from Saturday 19th September to Sunday 20th of September 2026. The theme of our conference this year will be ‘Today’s Beat, Tomorrow’s Rhythm’ and I am delighted to announce that our keynote address will be given by OIDE this year. A variety of presentations from practicing music teachers, the NCCA, the Department of Education and Youth and the State Examinations Commission will be included as part of the weekend also.
Updates on how to register for the conference will follow in a later mailshot however accommodation is available at Whites of Wexford by phoning them on 0539122311 or by emailing them at info@whitesofwexford.com.
To avail of the discounted room rate, please quote 048018 on or before Friday 21st August 2026. Rates are as follows: Single – €165 per night and Double/Twin – €92.50 per person sharing per night. Rooms held for PPMTA will be released that day and the conference rate discontinued.
All updates and developments in relation to the above will be posted on our website PPMTA.ie, our PPMTA Forum and on all of our Social Media Platforms. If you are a not a member of our PPMTA Forum, you may sign up via our website. In addition to conference updates, our PPMTA forum provides a platform for members to post queries, discuss challenges, suggest activities and share teaching resources on a regular basis.
