The branch meeting entitled ‘Uke Can Do It Folks (1&2)!’ explores the vast repertoire of Folk Music from Ireland and abroad adapted for Ukulele. This workshop will focus on the versatile use of the Ukulele as a teaching tool in our classrooms; from kickstarters for your beginners to solo and ensemble pieces for performances. This workshop will also support teachers in implementing a structured approach to developing Ukulele technique. Have your instrument to hand to get a grip on technique and discover top tips for teaching and learning the Ukulele. The workshop will be facilitated by Daniel Dunne.

Please note Daniel presented the ‘Uke Can Do It Folks!’ workshop at the LLRS/Midlands branch meeting in February and presented the follow-up workshop ‘Uke Can Do It 2 Folks!’ at the North-East meeting in early September. At the Dublin Branch meeting on September 22nd – Daniel will present a combination of pieces from both workshops such as: The Fox, Lil Liza Jane, Caledonia, Down By the Salley Gardens, Grace and Hard Times Come Again No more.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the online workshop!
Best wishes,
