Happy New Year to you all. I hope preparations for mocks and practicals are all going well.
This mailshot provides information in relation to our newly formed CPD body, Oide and the upcoming Leaving Cert and Junior Cycle practical dates.
The Oide website, oide.ie, is now updated and our their mailing list for Music is up and running for colleagues to sign up to. It is designed in such a way that colleagues can not only sign up for Music, but also for their other subject, and/or if they are an NQT – induction, and/or if involved in Leadership etc. The facility is now built into the website for multiple mailing list sign-ups if of interest to our colleagues.
Upcoming events and CPD opportunities from OIDE include their Spring Suite of Elective Music Events involving workshops on Leaving Certificate Set Works B, Level 1 Learning Programmes etc. however places for these events will be limited. They are also keen to get the conversations started and keep our colleagues up-to-date with the most recent developments in education.
As you are aware, practical dates at both junior cycle and leaving certificate level have now been issued by the SEC.
They are as follows:
LC – 8th April to the 19th April
JC – Starting on 22nd April
