Apply to be a Creative School
Creative Schools aims to put the arts and creativity at the heart of children’s and young people’s lives and this year 150 new schools will join the programme. Selected schools will receive a package of support in the 2019-2020 school year including an award of €2,000 and a Creative Associate who will work with them to develop and begin implementing their own Creative School Plan. It is anticipated that successful schools will continue to receive a similar package of support in the 2020-2021 school year.
All Department of Education and Skills primary and post-primary schools, special schools and Youthreach centres across the state are eligible to apply.
Opportunities for schools to apply open on 19 February and close on 21 March 2019. Schools are encouraged to get on line and register today.
What schools applying should do now:
Step 1 – Get online, read the guidelines and find out more
Step 2 – Register your school as an organisation/group with the Arts Council’s Online Services.
Step 3 – Apply online between 19 February and 21 March 2019.
