Everyone Can Create with GarageBand on iPad

In this hands-on practical workshop, attendees will learn how to create music with GarageBand on iPad and how to integrate this into their classrooms. This will include learning about rhythm using the Beat Sequencer, exploring instruments of the orchestra and ethnic instruments, creating Found Sound compositions with the Sampler and creating and recording songs through the #1564Challenge 

This workshop will be led by Eoin Hughes. Eoin is a Music Teacher, an Apple Distinguished Educator and the Digital Learning Coordinator in Loreto Abbey Secondary School, Dalkey, Co. Dublin where he has led the 1:1 iPad Programme for the past five years.

Please note that as this is a hands on workshop, attendees will require the following:

– iPad running iOS 12 or later and fully charged. 

– The latest version of GarageBand installed on the iPad.

(Supported iPad models include iPad Air 1, Air 2, 5th Gen 2017 model, 6th Gen 2018 model, iPad Mini 4 or later or any model of iPad Pro.)

– Headphones/Earphones (Wired only, not Bluetooth)

GarageBand will need to be downloaded in advance of arrival as WiFi with enough bandwidth for all attendees downloading this large programme cannot be provided.
