DLCS has two events coming up in Dalkey on Sunday 24 March:
1. Bach to School 2024, a workshop on J.S. Bach’s cantata, Jesu, der du meine Seele (BWV 78)
and
2. DLCS Spring Concert 2024, which includes gorgeous choral works by A. Vivaldi and J.S. Bach
The workshop, while geared towards the Leaving Certificate Music exam, is broad enough to be fun and informative for students and non-students alike.
It is also an ideal opportunity for students and others to interact with some of Ireland’s leading instrumentalists and soloists.
We shall also be performing Cantata 78 in full at the concert, something of a rarity in this part of the world, along with Vivaldi’s exuberant Gloria and two gorgeous Bach motets.
